MEET THE BOARD

Jeff Hennessy (President) is Chairman and CEO of HMP Communications Holdings, LLC (HMP). Jeff has over 25 years’ experience in Healthcare Communications. HMP is a leading healthcare communications company that produces over 100 clinical events a year, including leading national conferences in Wound Care, Psychiatry and Primary Care. Jeff started the non-profit organization, Friends in Neighbors in Action (FNA) in 2006 with his wife Jill. FNA was started in order to assist individuals in need with in the local central New Jersey region. In particular, FNA assists individuals and families suffering from devastating disease or injury. The signature event for FNA is the annual FNA 5K and fun walk. Over 80% of all proceeds raised by FNA go directly to assisting individuals, families and organizations in need.

Jill Hennessy (Vice President) is a stay at home mom, raising 4 children. She and husband Jeff Hennessy have lived in the Central New Jersey community for over 20 years, and together they have answered a call to contribute to the community. Jill is especially passionate about supporting families coping with pediatric illnesses. She would like to see FNA continue to grow in its fundraising efforts in order to provide assistance to many more families.

Christopher Ciraulo is Vice President, Group Publisher of HMP Communications, LLC. For more than 20 years, Chris has worked in healthcare and for the past ten years he has worked directly with doctors, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists and nurse practitioners to provide relevant, top-of-mind resources. Chris is also the founding publisher of First Report Managed Care®, a medical journal brand that services the pharmacy (managed care) marketplace.

Nick Lombardi is passionate about fundraising and helping families in need, he currently serves as Executive Director of Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Foundation. A lifelong Central New Jersey resident, Nick became involved in FNA when the Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Foundation was chosen as the beneficiary of the first FNA 5K Run/1-Mile Walk. He wants to see FNA continue to make a difference in our community and have an impact on people who are in need of assistance.

Frank Miller, III, is the Vice President of Eighteen Glass Company. An East Brunswick native, he saw FNA as an opportunity to benefit the community by supporting a variety of people and causes. Frank would like to see FNA expand to more annual events that will raise the organizations visibility and fundraising capabilities.

Ron Schlegel is the COO of Albion Engineering Company.  He is a lifelong resident of New Jersey and has been involved in community causes as an effort to give back to the residents of this great state.  In addition to his work with FNA, Ron has volunteered his time to various community soup kitchens, fund raisers and is the current Chairman of the Millstone Township Shade Tree Commission.  “FNA is a great organization focused on the needs of families in our community that face unimaginable struggles – I can’t think of a better way to make a difference than to give your time and resources to ease some of their burden”. 

Jim Gregory is licensed to practice law in both New Jersey and New York. He has been practicing for over 25 years, first as senior counsel for several large Wall Street firms and businesses in highly structured commercial debt transactions.  For the last five years, he has been a solo practitioner and professional networker in Central New Jersey, with his office located in Monroe Township.   He is an active volunteer in the Millstone Township community, where he has lived for the last 16 years with his wife and three children. He finds much of his motivation in seeing FNA succeed by honoring the memory of his niece, Emily, who succumbed to pediatric cancer in 2001.  He now focuses his practice primarily in small business administration, residential and commercial real property, elder/estate, and probate and business law.  Mr. Gregory graduated from New York Law School, summa cum laude, in New York, NY.

Frank Guerino is a Director in Global Pharmaceutical Development for Merck Animal Health, a division of Merck & Co, Inc. He has lived in Central New Jersey for the past 20 years.  During this time, he has been active volunteer for several youth and community organizations.  He has been especially active in the Knights of Columbus and their charities which benefit the mentally disabled and those in need of food.  Frank is grateful for the opportunities and good health that he and his family have enjoyed and believes that FNA provides a great avenue to help those that have not been as fortunate.

Jim Matera has been living in Monroe Township since 1970 and is involved in many activities including the Knights of Columbus, School Advisory Committee of Immaculate Conception in Spotswood, and Spectrum for Living. His professional life centers around the care of kidney patients as a practicing nephrologist, with a special interest in dialysis therapies. He is also the Co-director of Clinical Integration at CentraState Medical Center focused on enhancing the Triple Aim in Medicine.  Dr. Matera lectures on renal disease and cardiovascular risk both locally and nationally and is a frequent recipient of Top Physician Awards in the State.  The projects at FNA and the mission of FNA are a perfect fit for Community Activities that are so important in my life.

Dominic Crowe is a Managing Director at Citi Bank Corporation. Dominic has been in the Banking industry since 1987 where he held a variety of positions focused in the Asset Servicing areas. His primary residence since 1996 has been in Millstone, NJ. He has been involved in multiple volunteer and philanthropic opportunities with charitable organizations, and is a member of the Merrimack College Presidential Advisory Board. Dominic looks forward to continuing his support of FNA and welcomes the opportunity to become more active in helping others whom are in need.
